We work with learners across the city who are unable to access school due to health or exceptional circumstances.
Our service provides tailored, short-term education for learners as they transition into full time education, training or employment.
Our team provides interim education to learners that are not able to attend school. Each learner will have a package that is developed to support their individual needs and progress to the next steps.
Teachers and Skills and Support officers work together to provide the best possible outcomes for our children and young people.
Our team works closely with:
- learners and their families,
- schools,
- Education otherwise than at school providers (EOTAS), and
- other professionals within Cardiff (for example, the Health Service and other agencies in Cardiff).

We work with learners to:
- motivate, inspire and nurture them,
- teach them to be capable and ambitious,
- inspire engagement and creative contribution,
- create a sense of belonging and encourage healthy living, and
- motivate them to become ethically informed citizens.
Learners will usually work with two members of staff to focus on:
- Literacy and numeracy
- Skills and support.
Learners will also work in groups to:
- gain qualifications,
- develop skills to support success.
